Severn Trent Water and Dee Valley have gone out to tender with an contract for water infrastructure services worth an estimated £151.5 million which straddles AMP6 and the upcoming AMP7 investment programmes.
The water companies are looking to award framework agreements for the provision of works and services to support STW and DVW direct labour in undertaking repair and maintenance on the water distribution network.
They also want to award framework agreements for the provision of works and services to support direct labour in new connections for Developer Services on the water distribution network.
The contract is being tendered in the following six Lots, each of which is further divided into sub-lots by geographical areas. Any of lots 1-6 and any of the sub-lots can be combined into a single contract if a supplier is successful across more than one lot or sub-lot. Suppliers must apply for each lot and sub-lot separately.
Lot 1: Water Infrastructure Repair and Maintenance — Construction Services
Lot 2: Water Infrastructure Support Services — Repair and Maintenance — Reinstatement
Lot 3: Water Infrastructure Support Services –Repair and Maintenance — Temporary Traffic Management
Lot 4: Water Infrastructure Support Services — Developer Services — Construction Services
Lot 5: Water Infrastructure Support Services — Developer Services — Reinstatement
Lot 6: Water Infrastructure Support Services — Developer Services — Temporary Traffic Management
The contract will start in March 2018 and end in March 2022 with further extension options of up to four years in total.
